METRO'S ADVERTISING BUSES

BUS 154

Bus 154 is a later model Scania N113 (non turbo) and since 1993 it has been part of 3 different advertising campaigns. Interestingly two of those have been for rival medical benefits funds.

154 advertising Medibank Private in 1993. In 1993 bus 154 was advertising the benefits of Medibank Private to the people of Hobart.
1994 and the campaign has changed to the local rag - The Mercury. A year later and 1993 sits in Franklin Square advertising the local newspaper - The Mercury.
1995 and 154 is again advertising a medical fund - this time it's St Lukes. 1995 and 154 is again advertising a medical fund - this time it's St Lukes. Bus 178 also carried an advertisement for St Lukes but the base colour was blue. Both buses have scared the daylights out me for there is nothing like wandering through the depot yard at night and suddenly think you're confronted with passengers on a bus that is buried in the pack.
